car doesn't cool down until I hit 55mph
hello, I have recently purchased a 2009 black Corvette 06. The problem I am facing is whenever I drive my car red light to red light. The car begins to overheat and does not cool down. I'm not sure if the fan is not turning on or not but I know for a fact whenever I go over 55 mph. The car immediately begins to cool down if it was overheating, no matter how hot the temperature gets the car does not want to cool down unless I am going 55 mph. I am not sure what could be wrong.

There's nothing blocking it , it cools perfect when cruising at higher speeds just at low speeds it wants to overheat

Check if cooling fan is turning on. Also check for melted fan wire connector. Good luck.

Does your air conditioning work properly and have a sufficient charge to cool? If yes, and the A/C coolant pressure is sufficient, then your fan should come on when idling in your driveway and would be a good test for the fan function. If not, as suggested, locate your fan connector (a 3-prong connector) located towards the bottom of the fan assembly. Take it apart and check the center connector for any melting or burning. This is a common problem on the C6, especially if it has an aftermarket tune to increase the fan speed from stock.
Report back with your findings.

I have noticed one thing and my ac does not blow cold when idle and only also blows cold once that car is speeding at or above 55mph , i will be checking as you suggested.

Also check between the radiator and a/c condenser for heavy debris buildup. I’ve seen that extremely often. It’s not that hard to clean out.

My 2010 LS3 never rises above 225 degrees, never.

Your over heating issue is most likely related to your A/C not blowing cold when you're at an idle...Fixing one will most likely fix the other, or at least have you on the right path to being cool once again

Wasn't there a common issue with the fan relay failing?
Turn on car
Turn on AC
See if fans come on.
If they don't, trace fan wiring to relay and check
