Default Low dust brake pads

Hi folks, I知 in the market for low dust brake pads. I知 tired of my expensive wheels always looking dirty from the stock pads. I can spend hours cleaning the wheels and one drive and they池e filthy again. Please advise thanks folks.

Powerstop Z23 Carbon fiber/Ceramic. Best brake pads I have ever had. Quiet, no squeal, low dust and Superior stopping power.

There are LOTS & LOTS of options out there. I would suggest going to the C6 Tech Forum and doing a search on Brake Pads. Numerous posts about the dusting issues - particularly on the GS / Z06 with the puck pads or "padlets". Many people have experienced the same issue you have - and most have changed the pads to something from the aftermarket.

I went with the EBC Redstuff, but I would strongly encourage you to do some reading about what other people have done, and their results. Not everyone has been completely happy with their choices. It seems that the Duralast Gold, the Carbotech, & the Performance Friction Ceramic pads are the most popular choices.

A number of posts have also indicated that getting the wheels really clean and applying a Ceramic Coating has helped the clean up process. Certainly worth thinking about....

If you would like a low dust pad that still has excellent stopping, check out Hawk HPS pads. Have them on my C6 and used them on my 99 Z28.
very low dust (compared to the factory pads), very low noise, and great bite. I love them.

Performance Friction, Carbon Metallic (not carbon ceramic).

I would stay away from any ceramic brake pads since they are designed for low dust, low noise, at the expense of stopping power. Ceramic pads are not performance brake pads.

I will agree these pads are awesome! Not cheap by any means, but they last and the brake dust is almost non-existant! I installed them on my GS two years ago and not a single complaint. I purchased them from Adam.

I switched to the Hawk 5.0 for the same reason, brake dust was really enoying. These work great and 80% of the dust is gone. They do not have the initial bite as the oem pads but they work great.hawk hps 5.0hawk hps

While I agree that metallic pads are unquestionably higher performing, I would just add that whether ceramics are appropriate is more a matter of intended application. If OP's car is 100% street driven with no track days (or REALLY pushing the car's limits on the roads), ceramics are certainly an option.

A high quality ceramic pad on a C6 is not going to be inadequate in any way for some mildly spirited street driving and will barely produce any dust at all.

Powerstop ceramic brake pads are the way to go. If you like throwing away money then get Carbotechs.

Running Akebono ASP pads currently. No noise, good bite. So little dust it takes many excursions of moderate-to-hard driving to be able to even find residue via finger wipe. At that point it's still not really visible on wheel. Highly recommend for street application.

I just switched over from the Duralast Gold Ceramic pads to the PowerStop Z26 pads. The PowerStop pads definitely perform better. No dust.

The Duralast Gold pads are definitely good and low dust but mine started to squeal everytime I braked.
