Default Alternators
Need some help!
Are the Alternators in a 2006 A6 base model and a 2007 Z06 M6 the same ? Will the Z06 Alternator fit and work in the 2006 base model?

It will fit and bolt right up like the one it came with. I don’t recall if it offers a little more amp but if so that’s a good thing.

I think the only difference is the automatic ones have a decoupler on the pulley.
