2013 427 Plug Wires Fall Off
2013 LS7 427. I had plug wire #1 fall off the coil and replaced it about 6 years ago and it never has given me another problem I recently had #3 fall off and have replaced that 2 times now. The fist time I probably broke the clip when trying to push it on. Replaced that and the new replacement has come off 3 times so far, no broken pieces. These are all OEM's. I'm considering going to something else. Has anyone had this issue and what was done to correct (and or what wires did you go to if not OEM's). I heard that some of these had issues of falling off the coils. Thanks, Tom

Its a fairly common problem with these engines. Plug wires falls off and you get misfire. I would think new wires would help. Try something besides OEM wires.

Or, if you're cheap like me, take a set of pliers and crimp the spark plug end just a bit. I've never had a "coil end" come off. After the crimp job, never had a spark plug end come off again either.

I bought Magnecore wires and those kept falling off too. Moved to Edelbrock's X-Fire and those are a complete shroud-kit and work great and haven't had a problem since.

These have worked really well for me and definitely aren't going to fall off https://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-887828

Firecore50 with the promod boots if you have headers. Best wire money can buy.
