removing window tint from rear defroster
need to remove tint to pass state inspection. worried that removing tint may mess up my rear defroster. any thoughts? thanks.

When I bought this car it came to me with a really crappy tint job that needed to be redone. The tint guy that I want to see sprayed the inside of the hatch thoroughly with plain old amonia. He then took black plastic trashbags and thoroughly covered the tint, sealing it all around with tape so the bags were air tight to the tint. We rolled the car out into the hot sun and let it sit with the sun baking it for half an our or so. Took the tape and bags off and the old tint was so loose it all but fell off by itself. There was very little adhesive to clean which came off with a towel. No issues at all for the defroster.
