Default Has GM upgraded/improved the clutch Slave Cylinder ?

As you might know, I am now replacing the clutch and associated "bits" in my '08 Z06.

I had to do this in my '07 Z51 7 years ago.

Symptom is... clutch pedal is on the floor, or fully up,
but no engagement of clutch.

I have acquired the necessary parts (actually I bought GM replacements).
This includes clutch, flywheel, master and slave.
I also got a Tick remote bleeder.

I bought the GM master and slave because (as I understand it) most/some of the after-market clutch kits include the GM master and slave (of course I could be wrong).
I bought the GM flywheel, because I don't need a light weight one.
I bought the GM clutch because I have been convinced by several friends that for my purposes (serious Autocross, no drag racing),
the GM Clutch is just fine.

So I was wondering if GM has actually improved the slave (in particular) regarding the seals and contamination in the fluid causing them to fail, which I also understand is the root cause of the problem.

Any info on this ???? (just curious)

Not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that they have upgraded the master. New design has a black housing vs the clear housing in the original. There is a TSB out on this repair for those who have had it go bad. Never heard anything about a redesign of the slave.

Agreed. As far as I know slave never changed (besides zr1 is different for the clutch height).
