Do not remove the screen

Best case nothing happens, worst case it increases turbulence across the MAF and readings end up all over the place. It's there for a reason.

It won't help anything but if it hurts things by way of turbulence across the MAF, it will drive you crazy with trouble codes in the computer.

X3 - no benefit, screen smooths the flow of air for more accurate and even flow measurement.

Your Lucky.....A lot of people have problems after removing the screen, like mentioned above it smooths out the air flow for a more consistant MAF reading.. . I don't understand the logic behind removing the screen, it's not going to improve anything with either your hp or gas mileage so why screw with it?.....WW
