Fuel gauge reads 1/2 when full after E85 pump
Installed E85 fuel pump on my car and now the gauge reads 1/2 when it's actually full??
I installed a new sending unit when I did the pump, is it possible the sending unit OHMS might be different from year to year thus causing the gauge to read only 1/2 when its full.
Very puzzling...

Yes they swapped how the sensors read for certain years.

I found a guy that had the same problem that you had found out the hard way.
But there is a fix according to the user. This came from a purchaser from Amazon
NOTE: To anyone putting this on a 2005 Corvette, the fuel level sending unit IS DIFFERENT than an original 2005 one. The readings from it are backwards on the original one vs. this one. If you have access to HP Tuners or EFI Live you can make appropriate changes to make this sensor work. If not, then you will want to use your original fuel level sensor. Otherwise your gauge will read half tank when full.. then when it's almost empty the level will start to increase again.

I accidentally threw my 05 float away after installing a new assembly out of a Z06. Do you know what needs to be changed in HP tuners? Is it just a band-aid? Or is it spot in after you change it?

Correct.
If you need a copy of the tables I'm using on an 05 with the new style sender PM me your email address.
It's not a bandaid, it's simply a change. GM changed the sender and the tune accordingly. If you changed the sender.. you need to change the tune.
It works just like normal once the change is made.

Did you change any of the fuel level tables?

This was the first time finding out. Filled it up tuned the car pick the car up the gauge read 3/4 though awesome it worked! Drove it today it reached 1/2 way and died. Though well that was weird started right back up, drove a few feet and died again.. Hmmmm coasted into a shell and put 1 gallon of 93 ( car is tuned for e85 with flex sensor but had no way of getting to a station with e85 ) the gallon got me back home and I filled up x3- 5 gal jugs car drank all of that ) poured a bottle of bg44k in and gauge said a little over 1/2 full

The fuel level tables are really weird, so without seeing the tune I can't say if he did it correctly or not. If you change the table headers (which is what GM did if I recall) on one tank it changes them on the other tank too, which is not something I would have expected.
It's very strange..
What Pat or whoever can do is log sender voltage out of each tank individually. Log while filling up from being low on fuel. That will make it obvious whether the senders are working correctly or not...
