Fuel gauge reads 1/2 when full after E85 pump
#41
I have the service manual here and I cannot find that section, the one I have assembled from what I find in the compatible references is that model, empty 50 and full 200, however it does not work correctly, with the old pump it marked perfectly

Depending on the year, the sensors work backwards from each other. It's supposedly so when they fail they go to Empty instead of failing and showing Full.
The easiest fix, if you have access, is via tune changes. You can change the fuel level sensor settings for that side to interpret the "opposite" signal correctly.
Of course, this assumes you have access to HPtuners and someone that knows how to use it.

I think I already have a possible solution ...
The car is manufactured in 2006 and the pump model ordered in that year runs 40 empty / 250 full.
I have sent the vin to acdelco and this car is 2007 model! Then, according to what I am informed, take the meter upside down, mark 250 empty and 40 full ...
I think I will order the correct gauge together with the pressure sensor and gauge of the right tank, with that I think that solved the problem

Don’t you just love pulling those tanks!!! Gezzzz I can think of 100 other things that I would rather do then mess with that! It was quite easy once we realized the sending unit installed was from a later model corvette. I believe the cut off as stated above it 2005-2006 and 2007-2013.. if you have a 2006/2007 it’s really a toss up of which sending unit was installed.

I have asked for everything that theoretically belongs to him to solve this problem that has boring me already, with that I hope to leave it perfect, the unit previously ordered I will put it on sale in Europe and it really will not be money thrown away, just a time of work
