Best way to make 500-550 usable rwhp on pump gas.
Ok I have been searching and reading but it seems that I can't find what I'm looking for.
I have a 2012 a6 grand sport that I would like some more hp but it's my daily driver.
So I want to know what's the best way to make this power on a consistent basis without race fuel or meth.
I want to be able to always run top tier 93 octane get into the car and hit the key and drive like I do now.But with more power.
I also live in central Florida so it is hot and humid most of the time. But occasionally dips into the 30s
Any suggestions for a nice drivable combo that meets my needs??Thanks to everyone in advance.

The quick / easy way would be a supercharger kit.
For N/A applications there's a significant price difference between 500 & 550hp. You can get close to 500hp on a stock bottom end LS3. 550rwhp will require stroker parts, removing the engine for a build, etc.
All boils down to what you want to spend. But the quickest / cheapest way to make 550rwhp is going to be a blower. We like the A&A kits.

Blow it

Drop about 7k on a cam and exhaust. I was 2HP shy of the 500. Now getting to 550 is a bit more expensive N/A so the blower is by far the easiest way.
I will say this. My car is 98% as derivable as it was stock. I just cant lug it under 1300RPM which I never did to begin with.
But still for stupid easy power blow it.

To the OP, a Supercharger will get you to 500 WHP without issue and you'll be happy as a clam.

You built 100+ WHP on a Cam and Exhaust? That I cannot see.... With a Lingenfelter heads, cam, cai, throttle body, headers and BB Bullet Exhaust and tune i didn't make 500 WHP, so i find it hard to fathom a cam and cat backs gaining that much HP. No offense meant, I just do see how thats possible.

Vengeance puts together a nasty package. For the record there is no cat back on my car just cutouts. open/close made almost no difference in power. Full specs are in the thread below.

And FWIW another guy with the same thing on a different dyno

I went all motor and I'm right at your target. This requires a bigger stall 3200-3600. It's much easier with a power adder. Mine is an ERL 454 with Carteks H/C with all supporting bolt ons. Keep in mind, it's hard to get a big number through an automatic and stall (especially NA) Good luck!
The car is an absolute rocket on the highway and weighs roughly 3200lbs on a 1/4 tank. With brand new streat tires it breaks loose at 70mph. I will be getting a new set of rims/tires shortly.

That's a sick motor xstang!
My car dynoed 372 rwhp dead stock and with a baby cam, a tune, LS7 manifolds, and an intake, it dynoed on the same dyno 450 rwhp.
Now I had it dynoed locally (different dyno) and it was within 1 hp of the previous dyno numbers so I can safely assume that my car would have dynoed the same 373 rwhp stock, even on this different dyno.
We are currently adding CNC heads, headers, and flex fuel and I expect to hit about 510 rwhp even continuing on with my babycam. More power is great, but with the gearing of a Z51 I really feel like 500+ rwhp is so much more than is useful at the track or street. I feel it's enough.
If I was starting from scratch I'd do: LME CNC heads for $1900, a Katech Torquer cam for $500, Kooks coated headers for $1700, and a Vararam CAI for $300. Install and tuning would run about $2400 That would result in a very well running 480-500 rwhp car with insane torque production. It would be reliable, fun, lighterweight, run cool, etc... Add Flex fuel for another $1K if you have the fuel easily available for another 25 hp and even a cooler cleaner running engine.

VERY NICE.... My hats off to Vengence Racing.... BTW, mine was an LS2.
Certainly did. Were you ls2 or 3?

That the real difference there. Figure the heads, intake alone plus the 103mm compared to 101mm bore difference.
The Kaotic Cam is a pretty sweet cam . I highly recommend it.

Burning Brakes
A&A supercharger, stock street manners, ZR1 power. The best of both worlds.
Plus with A&A, they answer the phone after hours and on Sunday's!
