Default Marbles in an empty washing machine sound

At about 60K miles with my 06 A6 coupe, this crazy sound started. It could be clearly heard with the car stopped in 'drive' in the garage.

My professional Corvette mechanic said it is coming from the torque tube coupling spline area and he has repaired many cars with the problem.

Many hours of labor to replace the parts, I will pick up the car today.

On the bright side, the car has been trouble free up to now. After previously owning a C4 and a C5, I can honestly say I love my C6!

OK, there are two things which could be way better, the NAV and the glove box latch.

Let us know if the torque tube was the problem.
I don't have any issues with either 3 things yet.

Default Fixed!

Picked up the car today, problem fixed!

Also, while the car was in for service, had the transmission fluid and filter changed (fluid was a little dark).

Hopefully, no more unscheduled maintenance for a long while.
