Default what is the difference in the c5 and c6 torque tube for a manual

I have an 07 c6 torque tube for a six speed. A t56

Last night I put my c5 input shaft in it and it slid right in. So is this the same torque tube for the c5 T56? It measured 58" so I am asking you experts what is the difference between the two. I rebuilt the one in my C5 Z06 and I know about the 10MM and the 12MM I put the RPM couplers in it and new bearings.
Will this 07 C6 T56 torque tube work with the C5. I have 2 cars tore down and really dont want to drop my center plate to measure my C5 torque tube. Thanks for the help.

C6 TT won't work on your C5. It's longer I think by 1 5/8" or so.

Thank you for the info you are awesome! This is going to be used in a street rod so the 1 -5/8 don't matter!
That's good news for me. Thank you again Rick!
