You are experiencing "normal" behavior, per GM. It's the result of torque management and programming. There was a TSB for exaggerated versions of that behavior for '07 1/2 through '08 1/2 A6 cars but that shouldn't apply to you.

My '08 does everything yours is doing. I tried to get it covered under that TSB but the dealers wouldn't do it, said it's acting "normally".

You can get rid of it with a good trans tune. Chuck CoW is the most prominent trans tuner here but not the only one. If you called him he could probably fix you up.

I sent him/them a email and P.M. -
One thing is great, Im located in N.Y. also
Bad thing is , i cant afford EFI LIVE right now as funds are low.....
Ill see if he reply's and what he thinks..
I was going to attempt the dealer way, but like you said they most likely would do nothing or have any clue.. As im a chrysler 30 plus year tech i thought local dealer may do a reflash sine we suppose to all work together [ dealers ] - LOL . BUT when i had the corvette's cousin the Camaro [2010] and i got no where with 5 dealers or gm on bad bearing in manule trans , i gave up on gm.. for Not admitting problems or fixing...

I know one thing Chuck does with the '06-'07 cars, he flashes the updated '08 factory trans tune first, which helps with several things in the earlier cars. Then he does his thing with the custom tuning. Good luck. Please let us know what happens.
