Default Z06 exhaust..what year?

I picked up manifolds and a x pipe off a Z06 but sure from what year. Searching for mufflers but was told after 08 a change was made to the x pipe. How can I figure out the year I have?

Hold it up to what you have on the car and compare.

In '09 they changed the departure angle of the passenger side pipe, by something like 5 degrees (or so).

Some have just modded the x-pipe to work by either heating and bending to the right position or cutting and making an adapter.

Here's a recent mod with first pics of the mismatch that I've seen. Might give you insight:

As long as you buy z06 mufflers any year should work I think.

The X pipe came in 2011 for the Z06. All Z06 lengths should be the same up until 2012, when they went to two cats on the mid, so the lengths of the mid and the catbacks changed, IIRC.

Assuming you are going Z06 all the way, stay 2011 or earlier for mufflers and you should be fine.

My understanding is this for the mufflers. There is a change for the 2.5" in 09 on the passenger side. The 2.5" is for the base and GS (stock). The Z06 and ZR1 are 3". There are no changes in the mufflers for installing for 6-13. The Z06 muffler itself started the change over to be the same as the ZR1 in 2011. The Z06 pre-11 will have no perforations on the exhaust tip. The ZR1 09+ and Z06 11+ will have the perforations on the exhaust tip.

By your description it appears you bought what came originally on a 2011 or newer. Since you don't say that you also have the downpipes/cats and identify their configuration, it's hard to narrow it down further. It's also important to know what you plan to put it on. It won't fit on the 2001 Z06 you have listed in your profile, so you might consider updating that as well.
