Default Oil change

I bought my first Corvette, pick it up next week. I want to change the oil ( it looks good, but I am **** ). I have floor jack & stands. What do you use to raise your car & where do you lift it at?

For oil changes I raise the car one side at a time with a jack at the front frame lifting point near the front of the door (with a hockey puck as a pad between the jack and frame), and set it on some Rhino Ramps.

How high are your ramps?

According to their website, 6.5 inches.

Is this high enough for the oil change, can you get to the filter & drain plug?

Yes, they are behind the driver side front wheel, very easy.

It can be done without getting under the car by removing the wheel.

I refer RaceRamps since the ramp can be easily removed once the car is in the air. Very fast and safe.

Some info on jack & stands placement.
