Default Where to get 4.10 gears

Hey, I have been dreaming about getting 4.10s installed in my C6 Z51 for a long time now. After driving a C6 Z06 and having the "push" feel almost identical to the Z51 just because the shorter gear ratios, I have realized that 4.10s would not only make the car an animal, but it would feel lighter and not as sluggish.

However, I have called some shops in Atlanta and they have quoted me about $2,000 for installing 4.10s. Does anyone know of a shop that will be a lot cheaper, or cheaper way of getting 4.10s? For a mustang it only costs about $300-400 to get 4.10s installed. How much did you pay to get your gears installed?

Most go the rebuilt differential route.

It is difficult to just change the ring and pinion. A special tool is needed.

I went with DTE complete rebuilt and engineered set up. 5 years ago $1900 and approx $400 for install.

RPM is another both used to be/are forum members sponsors.

I looked as you have and my search led me to the above.

if you are going to be close to 490 rwhp, I would suggest 3.90.

My 4:10's make 6th gear very usable on the highway. Can move around with just a little throttle without downshifting. And of course I can pull stumps in 1st gear if needed. Got mine from RPM in Indiana, they are the best.
