Default License Plate Bulbs

How do you change the license plate bulbs? Have a 2006 C6 and need to change bulbs on license plate. Thanks.

If I remember correctly. remove one of the inboard taillights
then remove screw holding licsence light to rear fascia.
Reach thru the taillight hole and relamp

No need to remove any taillamps, but it's easier that way. Since I had the cables maxed out on my EE taillights, I did it without removal. Either way, it's easy as pie. You might want to put LEDs now. Good luck.

I did purchase LED's. It looks to be 2 screws per housing is that right?

Thanks.

Yes, just remove the two screws and work the entire assembly out of the facia. If you're doing LED's try them before screwing the assembly back in. LED's are polarized, so they must be properly oriented in the socket or they won't work. If they don't work, just turn 180 degrees.

Coincidentally, I just put in new red led license plate bulbs on my 08 c6 about an hour ago. It only took me about 5 minutes, but I did it the tail light way. Looks awesome! I would post a pic but the camera makes all of the lights look white...
