Default Racetrack driveability of "supervettes" / huge wheel spacers

Thinking of buying a ZR6X, but I have one concern:

How is the driveability on bendy roads or on a racetrack. Agilitiy and precision?
My last C6 got some 20mm spacers all around and it made the car less sportive in corners.
But since the widebody is huge u need a 1,5" = 40mm spacer PER SIDE ... making 3" per axle. I think this could be a serious problem especially on the front.

Has anyone experience with such a car or such large wheel spacers / adapters?

No experience with that much offset, but it won't be good unless other suspension modifications are made to change the roll center to compensate. I had some Brembo brakes on my 91 ZR-1 which required moving the wheel out about 3/4". The handling
difference was noticeable but the better braking made it worthwhile.

Ask the supplier if any suspension mods are made.

Cheers from New Braunfels,
Glenn

Wheel adapters are only necessary if you are trying to use stock GS/Z06/ZR1 sizes & offsets... as our fenders/quarters are 1.5" (38mm) wider on each side. If this is the case, we recommend www.wheeladapter.com for hubcentric, alcoa aluminum adapters, with the proper longer studs.

Any additional questions, feel free to call.

Sir, like we spoke on the phone the other day about doing it in stages. I started thinking about keeping the wheels I bought from you and doing different wheels later.. So upon research your extreme wide body is 1.5" wider than ZR1 and ZR1 is 1.65 wider than my base.. So if the math is correct..

I will need ARP 3.25" studs and like a 2.5" spacer right?

Or am I going about this all wrong?

I have the block Z06 replica split spokes...

We recommend www.wheeladapter.com... they build them (alcoa aluminum) with new studs built in, hubcentric, ready to bolt on. You just need 1.5" adapters all around for an OEM fitment, or 1.75" for an aggressive fitment...

I think about these daily. I can't wait. I think I'd prefer the more aggressive look as well.
