Default '13 grand sport brake dust

I'm washing brake dust off my black wheels after each drive. Major hassle. Looking into swapping out factory pads with EBC REDSTUFF CERAMIC PADS. It looks like they present less dust. Any thoughts?

Search would have found you many threads on this topic. I have the Carbotech ceramic pads on mine and the dust is very negligible and cleans off easily.

For a quality brake pad made in the USA take a look at the Carbotech 1521 pad 100% non corrosive will not harm your wheels or paint. I suggest switching to the 1 piece pad design.

The 1521 will reduce your dust by 75-80% on that particular car. If interested you can order direct on the link in my signature below or call me at 216-780-8825.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I agree on the brake dust. I am almost to the point of getting some Black rims. I'll have to look into the Ceramic Pads.

You can't beat them in price/performance and absolute lack of brake dust!
I don't think I'd take them road course racing BUT.. since I have no interest in that .. they have been fabulous.

Man, they look like stock, with proper anti-squealing backing plates and wear indicators . Wish I had seen those before buying the Carbotechs at twice the price and scalded-pig squeal . Awesome find.

These have been in my cart since I originally saw this post the other day. The part numbers are DG 1419 - Front and DG 1419A - Rear. I am going to order my sets in a few minutes. This is why I read a lot of threads that I don't think I'm going to be interested in.

You don't have to touch the Torx bolts ... Literally take loose the 2 caliper bolts and you can remove/install the padlets with relative ease.

I have the Carbotechs and used a little anti-squeal grease on the back of the backing plates and have absolutely no squeal at all, for 3 years now.

Yes, I know. By the way the Torx bolts are T45. I don't know if I want to take the calipers off or not. I only have 4000ish all street miles so there should be plenty of pad left on the OEMs.

Ordered mine from Autozone tonight.

My Duralast Gold Ceramic pads got dropped off today by FedEx from autozone.com. Unfortunately, it is snowing here in Central Virginia so our Tacoma is on one side of the garage dripping slush, the Corvette is on the lift, and the Corolla is sitting under the lift with no place to go out of the elements. Pad install will have to wait until the sun comes out again. Can't wait for Spring/Summer.
