what did your ls2 pick up with FAST 102
So I am torn on what do to for the next mod!!! I have a cam only LS2 with headers and stock ls2 intake. Car made 440/445. I wanted to do FAST setup but the tuner told me it was not needed. Then who I bought my custom grind cam from said he can just port my intake and that will be all I need.
But then if you go look at the LS2 numbers thread every car that has as FAST 102 is making good numbers. So I would like to know what you guys are picking up from a FAST intake without head work on LS2 corvettes.
Thanks for any input.

LS2's benefit greatly from a Fast 102, I am going with a Fast intake for this very reason. I haven't seen that big of gains from a ported LS2, in some write ups they actually stated that the porting wasn't even worth it. The LS3 guys have a smaller pick up in gains due to the better heads/intake that they have stock. There are plenty of write ups on gains with the LS2 and the fast with a plethora of knowledge from R&D. Hope this helps alittle, Jay

I just had the FAST 102 installed, but there is no way I can tell how much of an improvement it gave me..because at the same time I also had the following
Ported 243 heads
Callies 4" Stroker crank (403 ci)
New pistons & connecting rods, Kooks Headers
Melling oil pump
FAST 102
so the whole engine is new.. & I'm sure Julio will want to "tweek" it at his track rental in March....

Gave me .2 and 2 mph in the ¼ mile consistently. It will definitely help you.
Here is my thread and you can see what it did on the dyno...not so much, but on the track it really shined and you could definitely feel it.

Decided yesterday to overlay all my mods since I've self tuned and dyno'ed each time I did major mods.
I found it interesting and thought I'd share.
See below. Each line represents progressive mods:
1. stock;
2. headers & tune (3.90 gears at same time);
3. G5x3 cam & .040 gaskets (11.4 compression);
4. FAST, and
5. used AFR 205 heads.
What strikes me is how dramatic the gains from headers and a tune were. Combined with the gears, it felt like a different car, and I got a full second + 10 mph in the 1/4 from those mods, from 12.9@108 to 11.8@118. The car was dead nuts reliable at this level.
The second take away is how all the remaining mods really only mattered from 4500 on. Thus I very seldom notice them on the street, only on the track. Not counting the cool sound of the cam.
Mods 3-5 did take off another second and added 10 mph - to 10.8@128. But it cost a lot more and I broke a diff and two transmissions on my way.
This graph shows what I've been saying for while; headers, tune and gears give you by far the best bang for the buck from idle to redline, the remaining mods only matter from 4500 on. Most street driving is below 3000 rpm...you do feel gears and headers even at that level.
Hope someone finds this useful as they decide upon mods.
If you are drag racing, you can expect .1 to .15 from putting skinny tires up front (saving 50 lbs+ of rotating weight) and taking out your passenger seat (53 lbs).

The FAST made so much power that it blew up your old motor on the dyno
