Default C6 transmission scratching/hard shiftin

I have a2011 gs and shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpm it scratches/grinds what is goin on and would this be covered under warranty if I have a mgw short throw

Does it happen even when you're shifting slower at redline? If not then it's likely a driver error...(hopefully anyways). You will need to be able to replicate this at the dealership as well.

Not sure about warranty, I'd definitely take everything aftermarket off of the car if I'm trying to get warranty honored. They legally cannot deny warranty unless they can prove the part(s) being the culprit, but I'd rather save all that hassle and just switch the stock shifter back on before taking it in.

have you tried flushing the fluid ? if the slave is sticking it will grind, it is usually worse at high revs.

truck is referring to the "ranger" method. look it up on here. that's what I'd do first if you haven't already.
