Lambo Door Installation
A buddy of mine down here on the gulf coast (Pensacola) is looking for someone (who knows what they are doing from experience) to install a set of Lambo Doors on his Z06. Any and all help would be appreciated.

ZLR Doors?
Food for thought. Ever hear of ZLR doors? They're different but similar at the same time, but would be a pain in the a$$ to open with a car in a parking spot next to you though..

Doors
Hey let's be nice, this guy has a super looking Z and he just wants to make it unique. We don't have to agree (and many don't) but I am just trying to find someone to work on a great personal friends Vette.
Everyone has their likes & dislikes, and good example is myself. I have owned six Vettes.....built two into show cars and tweaked the others. I have a shop full of awards (not giveaways) from shows all over the southeast, so a few people liked my work.
The point I am trying to make is your individual tastes (I have seen some wild ones) may not jive with the guy parked next to you at a show, but you keep your mouth shut and worry about your own stuff.
Sorry for tooting my own horn, but I have been down the same road with some of my car modifications, but most guys/gals keep their opinion to themselves.......so lighten up.

There will not be any love for Lambo doors on this forum....it's a similar reaction to the one for caliper covers or the "split window" add-on piece.
Also, from a strictly mechanical point of view...they rarely work well.

honestly, it is not a hard install to do it yourself. I have done a few on imports up here in New York when they were "the thing" many years ago. The right kit will be an easy bolt up, just need a few hands.

why is everybody on CF so down on Vertical Doors or Lambo door kits?? I don't get it... I know it's a personal preference thing, but when I first got my vette I seriously considered the vertical door kit. I think it's cool... now I've decided to spend my mod money elsewhere but I wouldn't shun anybody who chose to do this.... I love this forum and I get soooo much great info here, but I don't understand why this particular mod gets so much "bad press"... (rant over)...

besides the fact non of us like the way they look all the kits (100% all of them) are crap the doors are not designed to bear their weight that way i see cars with them all the time and lots of them the doors are cracking and breaking apart from the stress. tell him to actually look at and talk to owners who have had theirs done for a awhile they fit like **** and start falling apart pretty quick. unless its a striaght show car (still gay) dont do it.
