Default DYI Leather Door Panels?

Has anyone tried to cover the non leather C6 door panels with leather themselves? The panels come apart and it looks like it could be done piece by piece. Or, has anyone had a shop cover them? Just curious.

That's what I was thinking. There is a auto upholstery supply store in San Diego that has leather in various flavors and prices. Take the door panel apart and do one section at a time? Use 3M spray adhesive. Maybe buy used panels to try it on? If they can do it on tv, why can't we?
