Today our car's basic bumper to bumper 36,000 warranty expires (it was a gm certified car). It's at the shop for a creaking targa now and I was really hoping you guys could please chime in with any common issues or known flaws the 2008 coupes had. I'd love to be proactive and have these examined and addressed on GM's dime if possible.

two expensive repairs youd want done under warranty:

gas tank leak at the seal is common - if you ever smell fuel after parking, its likely the seal

seals inside transmission can leak causing crappy shifts
