Default Z06 brake install question.

I'm doing a conversion on my truck with c6 z06 brakes. Using hawk street pads. They didn't come with lube. What do you guys recommend? Advance auto generic crap? Not tracking the truck just a weekend warrior. LOL!
Do you all lube the guide pins?

Thanks guys!

I didn't use any lube on the pad ends of the pins. No way to easily do that without getting the grease on the pad braking surface. My pins were frozen in and it was too late to use any lubricant on the pin threads.

Ok Rick just checked out the install thread! Great info however I noticed that the OP pads came with shims. I was under the impression they didn't. Do I need them or were those aftermarket shims in the thread?

Also people said use blue loctite and I've also heard red. I was planing on just using antiseize. Everything is brand new so want to do it right the first time.

Sorry, can't answer that. If someone doesn't chime in with the answers today you might want to start a new thread asking just those questions. Readers might not be coming back to this thread after the first read.
