Default What are the best fan temp % to add to my car

My car is a 06 A6 LS2 403ci motor with H/C/I. I want to know what tuners think are the best setting according to my mods and my car only being a weekend car and 1\4 mile track car once every 4-6 months. I do live in AZ where temps get 100-115 all the time.

I have a Dewitts radiator with no coolers, EWP (with no stat), and I run dexcool and distilled water. My car will reach 220-230 water temp no problem at all with A\C on in 100+ * weather. There is a lot of stop and go here in Tucson so please take that in mind. On the highway my car will drop all the way down to 180 in summer with this combo. What would be a safe and good tune to keep it cooled at what % and temps from start to end with HP tuners?

This is how I have mine set and it works well for me. I see 180 on the highway, and a max of about 210 on the hottest days in traffic. You can only turn them on starting at 192 if you don't use the upgraded OS from HPT.

Hi, can you explain the upgraded OS? How to get it? Sure would like to have better fan control.

There is some information here. There are many other features besides the fan tables and the upgrade is really worthwhile for boosted applications.

Clear as mud!
Where do you download it form? I only see "2 bar speed density" available under OS/VCM enhancements.

Thanks

That's it if you have an E38. I would just send an email to hpt support to be sure, or search on the hpt forums for info.

Thanks again, definitely E38. I'll have to do some research on the HPT forum.
