Default *DYNO RESULTS* 07 C6 A6 with G6X3 and TF225

This is a before and after with my new mods. My old setup was with the stock heads and TSP Torquer V2 232/234 .598/.598 114+2 LSA cam. All the boltons are the same except for the fast 102 being ported and the added Trick flow 225's and G6X3 cam.

I made 449rwhp and 378rwtq through my "unlocked" converter on the dyno and the old setup made 388rwhp and 357rwtq unlocked. Car has G6X3 cam, milled 62cc Trick Flow 225 heads for 11.5:1 compression, LG 1 3/4 headers with hi-flow cats, Vararam intake, Rev Extreme ported throttle body, Ported Fast 102 intake, TR6 plugs, B&B Bullets, and Vig 3600 converter.

Again, this is with the converter unlocked on the dyno and this is a low reading dyno. A cammed C6 ZO6 made 530rwhp on this dyno and made 550rwhp on another dyno in town. I would of made at least 480rwhp and 430rwtq with the converter "locked" on this dyno, but I didn't want to trash my converter. So the dyno numbers are skewed with the converter unlocked but the car is a NAAASTY beast with no traction on my street tires. I need some MT ET Streets now. This thing is really fast and I'm hoping for mid to high 6's in the 1/8 with drag radials and maybe 130mph traps in the 1/4.

I'd have to see how it acts on the track, because at first glance those numbers seem pretty low.

If it performs it doesn't matter though.

Yeah the numbers do not do this car any justice. This car is a ANIMAL now. I don't want anymore than this because the traction situation is ridiculous now. I was going to put a supercharger in but after going for a ride in a 490rwhp H/C/I C6 M6 last year I was sure on my decision. Any more power is useless to me now.

Also, the midband, torque, and throttle response is NASTY now. I can't imagine how this thing will pull with MT ET Streets.

That is going to be one seriously fast car I bet...what stall are you using?

Previous best on the track? Will be interesting to see how much that setup added. It's the hot ticket for record times if you peruse the C6 ls2 fast list.

How's the drivability around town?

Yeah it's very fast. One of the fastest cars I've ever driven. Heck it pulls harder than the 570whp 2010 GT500 I drove last year and similar if not more than the 490rwhp C6 I drove. It has a Precision Industries Vigilante 3600 single disk converter. And the drivability is better than my old cam only setup; which I attribute to the added compression. The stall really makes this car come alive because it's right into its torque band. It flashes to 4100rpm and FLIES!

I Ran a friend's 500rwhp 03 cobra at the air strip with my old setup at 388rwhp "unlocked" and I was right at his door from a 30 roll to 120mph. His car has ran 11.36 @ 123 mph in the 1/4. These numbers are very deceiving hehe I wasn't happy at first with the numbers until I remembered running my friend's 500rwhp 03 Cobra last year at only 388rwhp lol.

Thanks for the congrats you guys. I'm completely satisfied with my car's straight line performance now. LOL the car is a BEAST now haha, I can't say it enough I tell you . I'll now be shifting my focus to light weight rims, more powerful brakes, and better suspension for a well rounded setup. I'm sure with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's the car will be great in handling and straight line performance. The RE-11's will be a lot better than the all season Michelin Pilot ZP run flat tires I currently have.

Converter being unlocked hurts the dyno numbers but take that thing to the track and it's going to move.

Auto trans cars win at the drag strip, not on the dyno.

Besides, the track is the test. A dyno is just a tool.

Let us know what it runs.

Those are great gains considering you already had an aftermarket cam on the baseline dyno.

I would say that is some pretty stout numbers....448 UNLOCKED....yeah that is going to be a solid car at the track. Most of the stock headed LS3's make 470-485 with the converters locked...

NICE WORK!

Just bought some new TSW nurburgring rims in matte black gunmetal and Nitto 555R2 tires at 18X10.5 on the rears and 18X9 on the fronts with 305/35/18 rears and 285/35/18 fronts. I think the 555R2's will hook this new power nicely on the street don't you think?

Keep us updated on your track results. I'm starting a very similar LS3 build soon and I am trying to figure out what cam to go with.

I'll keep everyone updated on my track results. I changed the Nitto tires from 555R2's to 555R's in the rear and 555's in the front. I think this will be good. 275/35R18's in the front and 305/35R18's in the rear.
