Default Service Charging System?

Anyone ever seen this pop up? I got in the car to take it for a Sunday cruise to the gym and as I was driving this popped up. Got to the gym and decided to adjust my shocks to has to crank the car to turn the front wheels so I could reach the adjusters and it cranked fine each time. The battery that is in it was there when I bought it December 2011 so not sure how long its been in there. I'll voltage once I leave but everything seemed fine especially since I took the car on a 60 mile round trip yesterday. Wonder if its battery or alternator. Thanks.

Made it home fine. Cranked with no issues. Volts hold between 13.8-14.1 with a low of 13.5 other than the 12.0 with just the acc on and nothing else.

Does the horn work? If not check the fuse in engine comp. If fuse is blown it "can cause" the Serv Charging System msg.

What spark plugs are you running in the Vette? A lot of people have reported issues with NGK plugs. I have always run them with no issues. Search and you can confirm for yourself. Maybe just a loose plug wire and getting some electrical feedback.

Common problem when you get an underdrive pulley...but I doubt you have one. If you have one then just turn off code p0337 (from memory, need to double check that).

Plugs are the most common cause, ZR1 plugs seem to fit the bill vs. NGK's everyone uses. Another cause is a burned lug on the starter causing resistance.

Thanks for all of the insight. I don't have a underdrive pulley. I am running a 8 heat range NGK non projected tip plug. I'll do some searching around and mess with it tomorrow since I have to run out and take the family to dinner.
