Will a 06 up manual trans interchange in a 05
I have a 05 6sp z51 that i just bought the 06 up rear end. I have read that i need to change the tail housing to get it to bolt up right. I may have found a deal on a 06 up transmission. My question is will it bolt in to my 2005. wasnt sure if torq tubs were different? any help is much appreciated

Best for sure answer is to call someone like RPM. I am fairly certain they are exactly the same minus the tailshaft housing, but I have never installed one. I did the 06 rear and tailshaft housing conversion in my car though. It was pretty cheap and simple to do.

The '05 trans is unique in that it has 2 sensors for the shutdown process. The '06+ trans only has one. There is a work around but just wanted you to be aware of the issue.
Other than that AFAIK they will swap over easily, many have done it.
Torque tubes didn't change 'till '09 apparently.
