TFS 225 and G6X3 install (finally)
I'm going to post a ton of pics for you guys-
This took longer than I thought it would since I have been so busy with work and a 3yr old
A HUGE thanks to Brian Tooley!!
Thank you Spin and a few of you here namely ITS STOCK and Neumonic2002. Thank you guys-
Here they are out of the box. Brian port matched the FAST to the heads and did a stellar job THANK YOU Brian
The heads are the 225's and they are at 61cc with BTR spring retainer kit and 3/8 7.5 push rods using stock rockers. Very tight fit but they do work- I am runing stock MLS gaskets and the rockers are stock for now but I will upgrade to trunion kit when I can aford it. The 7.5 (3/8) push rods with stock rockers at 61cc and stock GM gaskets give me a total of 1.5 turns after zero fwiw-
Enjoy-
Done-
Vengeance wil be retuning it in a few weeks. We'll see what it does. Think I'm done for a while, except for the trunion upgrade. Car runs very well-
Wondering if I should keep the Vararam spacer on?

Looking forward to the dyno sheets and track times!
Be sure and get the .drf files so you can overlay your dyno sheets so we can see the exact effect of the heads over the powerband.
Boy those are really a work of art.

Here's my AFR head dyno sheet (actually all my mods overlaid). We can see how much better the vaunted TF's are when Jay posts up his sheet. If you get the .drf files and are intersted, send them to me and I'll overlay your dyno sheet on mine so we can see the differences between the G5x3/AFR 205 combo and the G6x3/TF 225 combo throughout the rev range.
BTW my AFR's are 59cc and I put on a .045 gasket if I recall...my CR is around 11.8 and I can only run about 22 degrees of timing at torque peak.

Joe- I'll get the same graph from Vengeance overlayed from the EPS cam/AI heads, then G6X3/AI heads and now the TFS/G6X3.
It will be a few weeks though

Cool. Get the .drf files too, let's overlay my g5x3 to your g6x3 (both of us with stock heads and FAST) and we will see the difference - to my knowledge, that comparison hasn't been overlaid on a dyno sheet so that'll be cool to see.

Gonna knock me down a rung on the 1/4 mile fast list I'm sure.
But good for him, what a great build and Jayplay is really good about helping other Forum members with advice.
