Default FAST 102 install question

Seeking a little wisdom from those whom have installed before me.

I just bought a brand new FAST 102, the directions say to seal the rear corner with RTV.

I'm wondering if that's needed if I don't separate the shells....I can drill out the MAP sensor without taking the manifold apart.

Otherwise, I'm wondering why in the hell I would need to take apart a brand new manifold to seal it?!?!

Anyone shed some light on this one?

It may be talking about the nipple which the NPP exhaust uses. For the cars not equipped with NPP, a simple 1" drywall screw and RTV seals it right up.

It's not referencing that nipple....it's saying to lay RTV on the seal that's already in place.

Doesn't make any sense....

Just to follow up....

Per FAST : Seal the manifold with RTV before installation.

Better safe than sorry!

Default When I received mine and pulled the shell off, I noticed mine

had already been sealed! So I added a little bit of sealer again and no vacuum leaks. I think they have updated their product but not the directions.
