Cold Air induction on my GS? Worth it??
Was looking through a few of our Forum vendors, and ran across a Blackwing Cold Air Induction system, offered by gmpartshouse.
Anyone used this (or any other cold air system for that matter)?? Does it make a noticeable difference in performance?
Does it affect warranty?
Thanks.

I like the Blackwing. I had one i my 01/Z06 and now in my 07/A6. As far as i know Donaldson makes them with the SLP logo on them. Donaldson is a leader in the air filtration industry.(Goggle them). My 01/Z06 welcomed the Blackwing with no problem. But my 07/A6 with a Corsa Sport exhaust and X-pipe. As soon as the Blackwing was installed, she threw lean codes in both banks and had to be tuned. Now, $400 for the Blackwing, about $2000 for the Corsa system installed and $400 for the the dyno tune, she has 380+ at the rear wheels. Sure the Blackwing looks cool under the hood at the local car show and the exhaust note is pure muscle car. Just dependes on how far you want to go. DRIVE ON !

Blackwing "cold air" induction system is not a cold air induction system. It is just a different filter and air bridge that is still picking up hot under hood air and not a true cold air system that only picks up cooler air from outside the car. The filter may flow more air than the stock system but Cold Air is just sales talk!
