Default [M&H Drag radials 275/50-17] Anyone have experience with these?

Hey all,

I'm looking to put a little bit taller tire under the car than my current 295/45-17 Mickey Thompsons and stumbled upon the M&H 275/50-17.

I'm happy with the Mickeys but a taller tire is always a good option if one is available.

Does anyone have experience with these M&H?

If a taller tire is what you're after then these may be the way to go, but in terms of overall traction I ran these on my car one night (instead of the 275/40/17 Hoosiers I was using at the time) and found they didn't hook as well by more than a full tenth.

What other option do I have for a true 28" tall tire on a 17" rim in a radial?

I searched around and didn't find anything. The 295/45-17 I have now are advertised as 28" tall but they come WAY short at 27.2".

If you decide to step away from the radial I will be selling my Hoosier 28" slicks soon as I have to move back to 26's. they netted me a 1.38 60' ; )

How many passes on them? How much? I'd like a set of slicks for the track. These M&H would be for Mexico
