Default *Insider Pics* Pfadt LT Headers, TIG Welding...

Having dealt with the gang at Pfadt for many years, I have some friends on the inside over there. One of their welders sent me over pictures of their TIG welding process, and close-ups of their welds.

Also take note in the header flange picture that is AFTER the flange was faced off, look at the consistency in the width of the weld puddles. This is how you lay a bead down...

As always you can purchase your Pfadt products direct from us here at FSP or through any of their valued dealer network!

Are they looking for an LS3 test mule?? I'll gladly let them put those works of art on my car. In return I promise to race with them every chance I get.

This pic alone is why I'll sell my current headers for a set of these sometime in the near future.

hard to imagine a human hand did this. Some people were just born to weld.

Is this a random sample chosen from the manufacturing process? Or is it specially done for the promotion of the headers? Are the welds measured by a product quality procedure?

The ones on my car have welds that look just like the pictures you see here. If I had a better camera and new how to take pictures you would clearly see that in the below picture of my passenger side header before install. You can still make it out though if you squint

See my thread in this section and look at the pictures in the link to the actual photo album with the bigger pictures. You can see the quality in the set I got is the same as the pictures posted above.

Every single header, flange, x-pipe component is quality checked before packaging at their facility.

These are not promotional shots in the slightest, this is a production set of headers that went off to a very happy client

Let us know if you have any further questions.

I got to know, were these welds done by a programed welding machine or by hand? If done by hand, you have some awsome welders.

Hand.. They do have a rotational fixture, but I don't care these are still hand welded.
