Got me all excited there...read the title and clicked in, only to be let down when I see that triple disk billet is for A6's.
Sounds like an interesting mod, I'll alert Theofel.

I'm guessing the claim is only when switching from stock converters.

Back to my original question; Triple disc what?
A torque converter doesn't have ANY discs unless somebody has completely redesigned the automatic transmission recently. A pump, turbine and stator but no discs.

overdrive converters have a clutch sometimes called a disk, most are single disk, there are multiple disk for high hp automatic cars to lock at wide open throttle

Yes, a torque converter does have discs (also commonly referred to as plates) which is what the clutch lining is glued to and allows a converter to undergo lockup.

subfloor is correct. With the 6L80E high HP builds the single disc was not holding as well so changed to triple.
Email: RXProducts@aol.com for a quote on any. ALL are custom made to order, nothing off the shelf. Dyno graph really helps but as long as we have your build details we can get very close.
We run these in our GM lockup's and run quicker than any of the brands we have used in the past (and have been sponsored by several big names through the years. Those that don't know our background, we have (current and past drivers/team members) years of Divisonal, National, and World Championships both NHRA & IHRA in numerous classes. Not test & tuners, not specialty races for a group or a track day, but as deep as it gets.

I don't run quarter mile. I run HPDE. It keeps the revs up. They don't drop as much, so you stay in the power band. Mine is a 2800 stall. A 3200 or 3600 stall would be better for quarter mile, but probably less street friendly. I daily drive my car so that was a big part of my consideration.
