Default Check engine light

I have a 2005 Corvette Coupe and recently the check engine light came on(steady). The OBD says there are no codes. I de-powered the cmptr by disconnecting the battery for about 10min and then re-connecting it.
The check engine light extinguished itself, but after about 3hr of driving the light came on again. Any ideas? thanks

Are you saying you put a OBD code reader on the OBD port and no codes were found? Try going to a auto parts store and use their OBD reader. They usually loan them out for free and hold your driver's license. Perhaps the one you have was bad or misconfigured?

You will sometimes get that cel if your gas cap is not on properly.

Easiest thing to check first. Remove and reinstall but don't press downward while twisting. Clear CEL and cross your fingers that was the cause.
