Default 19" sticky tires

Running a 295/35R19 BFG KDW2 now and really like them but always have traction issues in first. Looking for other opinions from those making at or above 500rwhp and a stock rim.

What kindof tire are you running and how is your straight line traction?

I've considered the R888 but it shortens the tire height a good bit from what I have today and not sure thats the best for traction.

Also, the MT DR but I've seen some roundness issues so leery about this given the car is driven on the street heavily.

RE11 is another one but not sure of the details/scoop on this one.

So, what's your preferred sticky tire?

If you ever find one that sticks, let me know. lol. Tried the MT's and didnt like them for daily driving. Running Pilot SS right now and they are decent, but wont hold 600 hp. I dont think anything really will.

Hoosier R6's, lol... I can't break them loose in 1st gear once they are warm (but I'm only at 407/421)

On a more serious note, I was strongly considering the Hankook R-S3's or the Pilot Sport Cups (very expensive) before buying my Hoosier track tires. When I was running my old PS2's, there was a 350Z on the track that would absolutely destroy me in the corners who was wearing R-S3's. Treadwear is 140 on these, so don't expect too many miles from them.

Found a thread in the FI section about tires from earlier this year and it seems the compared the MT 305's and the NT05(R)'s primarily. It seemed to be split as to who liked what and how it hooked. One of the things I saw in there was 18" wheels instead of the 19's.

..... not really what I want to do but might be the best bet if I want optimal traction. Sigh!

OP, what power are you putting down? I've got the re-11s 285/35/19 and they hook much better than the ventus evo2s I had. Granted any tire cold will spin, but I can say the re-11 is much better for straight line than the evo2 when warm. Im putting down 527/440 and I can still see tire marks gear through 3. Hope this helps.
