Default Dropped car off at Vengeance Racing today....

I dropped off my 100% bone stock 2010 1LT Corvette at Vengeance Racing today for what is commonly known as "cam-only" modifications...

Custom Comp Cam recommended by SpinMonster
- Intake 230 XFI Lobe .612 lift, Exhaust 234 XE-R Lobe .598 lift
- Lobe Sep 114
- Intake Center line 112

Vengeance Racing 5/16th 7.400 Hardened Pushrods
Vengeance Racing .660 Lift Dual Spring Kit with Ti Retainers
Comp Trunion Kit for Stock Rockers
Melling Hi Volume Oil Pump for LS Engines
Katech C5R Timing Chain
3 Bolt/4 Bar Timing Gear
LS "Dogbone" Timing Dampner
ARP Cam Bolts
GM Crank Bolt
All required seals, gaskets, and fresh fluids

American Racing 1 7/8 Stainless Longtubes with 3" CATTED X Pipe

Halltech MF103 Cold Air Induction

Powerbond 25% Underdrive Pulley with Gates Belts

NGK TR55 Spark Plugs

Custom Tuning

In other words, exhaust, CAI, cam, and a tune. Will get a baseline dyno first, then post-modifications dyno. Should make a fun driver.

Ron @ Vengeance gave me a short tour of their facilities. Large, very clean, and neat - makes a difference! Several very nice, very fast cars in the shop. They deal with ONLY LS-series powerplants, so my confidence is high that they will do a great job. Ryan had me signed in and the car checked out and pulled into the shop in no time flat. Most impressed!

More later when I have data to post.

Cumming Georgia, about 45 minutes NE of Atlanta. You can give Comp Cams the specs and they will cut you the cam. I can PM you the info if you want it.

Is the OP's car stick or automatic...with that cam I would think its a 6M or if its automatic, he has a hi stall converter ??

I'm auto (A4) and want a cam, but have to save enough $$ to get a converter also or I would limit my cam selection to a "mild" cam if I keep the stock converter..

Vengence is a customer of ours and I have only heard great things about them, would have them wrench on my GS except the 800 mile drive deal. The Spin cam is a proven power maker most have had good success with it, I'll be interested to see your out come.

I have a used Spin cam for sale, had it in my 2011 GS for 400 miles, I have never been a cam guy and it was a bit much for me. I ended up with a Crane 224 grind and it's a border line pain til the car warms up in my opinion. Have all Comp's paper work, a cam dr report and hardened pushrods too.

That sounds like a cam I'd want, but I still have the problem of needing a hi stall converter.. I'm working on a deal now for a 3200 converter, & if it goes through I'll PM you about your cam....

Stock Dyno

86F, 29.07 in/hg, 32%. 1.03 SAE correction.

373 RWHP is about what I'd expect for a bone stock LS3 M6. But the real numbers aren't the actual raw numbers, but rather the difference between the stock RWHP and the Modified RWHP.
