Default ABS Control Module

ABS Control Module. Does any one know if a used ABS control module can be installed & programed so it will work in a different car.

What model year C6 do you have??? There's nothing in your profile that shows anything about you or your C6.

The 2005-2008 have an ABS made by Delphi. You need the compatible parts - EBCM, BPMV, and wheel hubs with the Delphi wheel speed sensors.

In 2009 they switched to ABS units made by Bosch.

So.....you should be able to swap units from a 2005-2008 to another C6 in that model year range, or from a 2009+ into another 2009 or newer C6.

I believe some of them can be. Here is a thread on how to add launch control to your 09.

The GM dealer told me that even if the abs moduel comes from the same year car 06 z06 & is installed in same year, model, that will not work the ven# has been burnt in to the moduel & can not be changed.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that is not correct.

I'm pretty sure you can program a used one into another car.

Are we talking about EBCM here? Because I'm not seeing a ABS only control module in my 2007 service manual.

If it's a 2009+ model, I have the control module available:
