Default Noisy Tilton Triple Disk super light clutch

I have one of these http://www.lgmotorsports.com/Tilton-...-Carbon-Clutch . It's a Tilton triple disk light weight clutch. Just got the car up and running and the clutch works fine but when engaged foot off the pedal it sounds like someone is shaking a bag of nuts under the car. It's super irritating. LG is closed today and I am working on the car does anyone know if that is normal. Yea I saved 48lbs the noise was OK when it was just going to be a track car but now want to drive it on the street.

There is also a lot of noise when engaged which appears to be the rear end.

^ exactly.

If your car is cammed, the noise will be even worse. You can up the idle to around 850 and it will help, but the noise will never go away.

I have the same type setup in my Panoz LS powered race car, but from
PowerTrain Technology. A whole lot less money, like $5000 less, and Steve designed most of the high end clutch assemblies sold today.
Give him a call if you need help.

While not the same set-up as yours, I have a RAM twin-disc with aluminum flywheel and a Stage IV RPM Transmission. When the car is idling in neutral with clutch engaged there is quite a bit of gear rattling coming from the transmission. Kind of reminds me of my old Porsche 944 which had a LOT of gear rattle.

It's normal and a function of the synchro design in these transmissions.

Default Found Bad Rear End Gears

We found the rear end gears were bad and suspect that was part of the problem. Another update soon after the rear end gets back.
