Default Z06 muffler flap actuators

Is there anybody or any vendors selling just the actuators?? I tried a search and it looks like this question was never answered. I also would take a set of Z06 mufflers with the actuators and the muffler mod already done. I have an 07. Thanks

The parts DVD shows that the actuators come with the mufflers and can't be had separately. The mufflers run $1200+ each (apparently the gold leaf was shaken off of my exhaust system on the truck trip from Kentucky )

So if your $20 actuator quits working GM expects you to pony up $1200 to replace it. Nice.

Not sure of your point. In both cases, you are pointing to the stock mufflers with on online price of right at $1000 each. In the top link, if you scroll down to "005" you'll see "INCLS EXHAUST FLOW CONTROL VALVE". That's the part in question - the control valve. See red circles...

Doesn't look like it. Five years of reading the forum and I've never read anything that suggests otherwise.

The parts must be available someplace, BB Exhaust (Fusion mufflers) buys them from somebody and uses them on their mufflers.

I have a set of used Z06 mufflers for sale if you're interested. Actuators work fine on them.

The question is where to buy them retail as replacement parts for your car and not as a manufacturer buying a car load of them at once.

The technical term for the part is a vacuum dashpot. They are used all over cars to control AC registers, EGR stuff, exhaust like on the vette, have never looked for a supplier but you might try the Thomas Registry.
