Default A6 Tune

I'm considering getting a tune for my A6 transmission (mail order vs on site). Any recommendations and real world results? Thanks guys.

Chuck Cow did mine via AutoCal. Totally different car. Were you in Pasadena when Chuck came to do tunes in Feb?

When you get a tune it includes a tune for your transmission.

ECS would be my choice for a mail-order tune.

Yes...do not forget the CoW Booster...that combo with the Attack Pack made my 08 launch like nothing Ive ever had....and sadly no longer have...but Polar Jet is certainly enjoying it.

The fact that a car "feels" great after a tune is not proof you got a good tune, do not get suckered into that. It's just like your car going straight after an alignment. That is not proof you got a good alignment either.
There are limits you do not want to exceed that will assist in the longevity of your driveline. If these limits are exceeded then BOOM!!

People are learning this the hard way.
Google is your friend.

ECS has been doing this a LONG time and hold many C6 records. Their tunes include Trans,Engine, and throttle response tuning all at a single price of $150 which is less than some people charge for tuning just one of those 3 areas.

May I ask "WHY" ????

Looking at your profile you have quite a few mods:
Year & Model 2007 C6 Coupe A6 Color Monterey Red Tintcoat Mods Callaway Honker CAI, Kooks Headers & hi-flow cats, Borla cat back, AFR 215v2 heads, Scorpion roller rockers, FAST 92, FAST Billet fuel rails w/ FAST injectors, Dewitts radiator w/dual fans, Kateck idler, LG EXcam, LG tune & LG Motorsports silicone hoses, Yank SS3200 Converter, B&M external trans cooler
Seeing the above you should already have a tune (engine & trans).

If you want to see actual track results you can check the 1/4 performance challenge thread in the sticky portion of this section

Good luck

Actually, I only have an engine tune by LG Motorsports. That's why I'm looking into a tune for the A6. Thanks - for the info.

I certainly am Craig.

My friend Gid and I just came back yesterday from visiting Chuck for an extended weekend where I had Chuck re-tune the car to my personal liking. The difference is phenomenal to say the least. The car performs, reacts and responds exactly the way I hoped it would.

Thanks to Chuck for going so far out of his way for us. He spent hours making sure everything was perfect for us and stayed extra late on the last night to verify everything was exactly where both he and and my buddy and I wanted our cars to be, explaining to us all of the parameters, graphs and charts . Above and beyond the call of duty as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks Chuck!

Chuck did my car via mail order with the Autocal. WOW! Don't know about any of the other tuners, but I highly recommend Chuck. Well worth the cost of admission. Thanks Chuck!

LG didn't tune your A6 at the same time they did the engine tune?

I don't believe LG (or any decent tuner) would ignore the trans tables when tuning your car.

Something is wrong with that.

Actually, it was a mail order tune. Currently LGM can not tune your A6 unless you 1) take your car to them or 2) you remove the TCM and send it to them. I'm like 9 hours from LGM so that's a problem for me.
