Default NPP exhaust on 2007 C6

I am looking to add some npp mufflers to my base C6 manual 6 speed.
Trying to buy some from the forum members here.
Will any year work, for example from a GS or a 2010 base C6.
I know I need a controller kit.
Will these just bolt up otherwise.
Trying to find out before buying.
Thanks
Mike

Also let me know if you are selling a set.

Only the 08 NPP Exhaust will be a direct fit on an 05 to 07 Vette. 09 and up NPP Exhausts are only a direct fit on 09 and up Vettes, standard and GS.

If the car is a 2005-2008 you would need NPP mufflers from a 2008 car.

If the car is a 2009-up then you can use 2009-up NPP mufflers.

You can use the 2009-up x-pipe and 2009-up NPP mufflers on a 2005-2008 car.

GrandSport and coupe/convertible mufflers have 2.5 inch over axle pipes and can be directly bolted in. Z06 and Zr1 mufflers have 3 inch over axle pipes and would need modification to fit non-Z06 cars.

When you are looking into controller kits be sure to check out the Exhaust Commander All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit.

Only a 2008 exhaust will work. To use one from a later year you will have to change your mid pipe as well.

Hi Mike,

On a manual trans car the Z06 exhaust system from manifolds to mufflers bolts on and fits quite nicely.

On an automatic car there are some clearance issue around the transmission. It can be made to fit, but there will be only about 1/8 to 1/4 inch clearance between the pipes and transmission which can lead to the pipes hitting the trans and making noise on bumps and cornering.

Something to also note: the Z06 mufflers from 2006-2010 sound different from the NPP mufflers. NPP mufflers are a little louder and crispier sounding in open mode, and the Z06 are a little more mellow toned with less crackle and pop.

Both sound very similar when they are in the closed mode.

I have a set of Z06 mufflers with axle back pipes still connected for sale if you need from a 2008 Z06.

I installed a 2007 ZO6 exhaust on a '07 Coupe A6. I used 3" to 2.5" reducers from Jegs at the end of the "H" pipe for the OEM over the axle pipes to avoid transmission clearance issues. Welded the bi-model mufflers on the 2.5" pipes where they necked down to 2.5". Took me most of a Saturday. Tuned results with ported intake = 370 RWHP. Cheap mod with great results!
