Default Convertible Top Lid Rattle

My top lid rattles with the top up or the top down. I have open it and just can't find anything loose. I don't think the lid is pulling down far enough and that is why it is rattling.

Is there any adjustment? Any ideas??

First make sure the adjustable rubber stops are in both corners of the lid. These are screwed in. Adjusted properly, you should not be able to push down the corner when the top is closed all the way and the top should line up cleanly with the rest of the quarter panel. If they are set too long the top will not latch completely. Best to do the adjustment with the top down. Just push the top button long enough to raise the lid. Good luck.

Hey one other area that makes funny noises is the rubber door bumper at the bottom of the front edge of the quarter panel (door open). Put a little lube on the face of the rubber and see if your noise goes away.

I have played with the stops a few times. When driving the car with the top down it sounds like the lid isn't closed all the way and it rattles on both sides. The right side lid doesn't close flush with the quarter panel.

If not closing flush only on one side....look to the hinge mount.
The panel is not aligned.

Go though the alignment procedures also check that all the latches are fully functioning. Maybe the weatherstrip on that one side is not set low enough.

The center latch under the waterfall is adjustible, but that will pull the lid down evenly.
