Base C6 for autox

Base C6 for autox
I currently run a C4 with z07 suspension and QA1 double adjustable shocks as my daily driver and for autox. Sometime next year I plan on upgrading to a C6 probably around a 2006 base model, and manual transmission. I am looking ahead, what do most run for suspension for autox?

Id suggest just buying one with the Z51 package and leaving it as is. That way you get the nicer gearing, extra cooling, and suspension package!
try searching "suspension" as the title under c6 technical and c6 general for more suspension setup info if you want to do something a bit different - there are a lot of good threads out there!

There are not a lot of Vettes in SCCA Solo (autocross) in my area, but I would say they are 50/50 split on the OEM vs. coilovers. I know 2 are Pfadt coils, not sure about the 3rd. But like I said, 2 are completely stock. I guess it depends on what class you want to run in more than anything, but it sounds like you are ok with running modified.

Not quite, I will still run in stock class. In stock you are allowed to run something like the Z51 suspension package as long as it was offered in your year. as for shocks, again in stock class up to double adjustable shocks are permitted. Coil overs would deffinitly bump me out of the class. same with brakes, the Z06 brakes are okay as they were offered as a package. The devil is in the details, read the SCCA solo manual very closely and do everything you can do within your class....
