Bought a set of super pros about a week ago. Awesome price, free shipping. And they arrived at my house in 1 day Lol. Granted I do live in Texas and they are sent from lg but non the less fast service great price and to me most important nothing missing or damaged when arrived.

I'm considering a set of the 1 7/8 Super Pro with a 3" x pipe but have read some posts on this forum recently regarding cat vs. non-cat x pipes so I was wondering what your input is regarding choices of x pipes. I will stay with my 2 1/2 axle back system for now which I realize will take some type of adapting or is there a 3" x pipe that will connect to a 2 1/2 axle back system.

inspections. If it does, then you will need cats to pass. Todays high flow
cats are much better than in years past. The truth is that there
is not much restriction there these days. It will be louder without cats
and will smell like sulfur...
The 3" X-Pipe mid-section necks down to 2-1/2 inches so it will hook
up to any OEM or aftermarket axle back. We can get it made in 3" if
you want...

As for the brand I realize the big three ( LG, Kooks & ARH) all seem to get rave reviews and cost approximately the same which systems do you receive the most positive feedback from. I realize their ad will be somewhat bias but based on the fact LG say there 1 7/8 Pro series is one that has been designed to improve both horsepower and torque I am leaning towards them.

Chip ... thanks for your input. Based on the fact others have posted an odor issue with a non-cat x pipe it seems the wise choice would be going with a catted one. With that said what would the cost be on a coated set of 1 7/8 with a 3" x pipe shipped to New Mexico run.

Hey Chip. I'm a bit new to the "mod" arena, so I appreciate your indulgence. I have a 2012 GS that I use for weekend pleasure cruising. No racing or tracking at all. I don't have any mods currently other than the 93 octane Diablo tune. I'm considering long tube headers with catted X pipe and have a few questions....
1) What would determine whether I go with 1 3/4" versus 1 7/8" tubes? Like I said, no other mods current but MAY do a SC down the road at some point.
2) I really don't have enough confidence to do the install myself. Any clue as to what a competent shop might charge to install?
3) Would the new headers, X pipe and cats require a new tune to squeeze out all the potential HP gains?
4) Can I keep my stock mufflers with the NPP option?
5) I'm assuming the cats are high flow.
6) Do the headers significantly change the exhaust note if I do keep the OEM mufflers?
Thanks in advance for educating this novice...

1) 1-3/4 would be for a Stock or Bolt on Car (intake ect...)
1-7/8 would be best for a modded car , like Heads and Cam, Super
Charger/Turbos.
Some will argue that 1-7/8 is ok for a bolt on Car too (may lose a little
low end Torque) but you will need 1-7/8 for a Super Charger...
2) A good shop that does Corvette Headers will charge you 3 - 4 Hours
Labor
3) Long Tube Header HAVE TO HAVE A TUNE. You car will run very
lean (which is dangerous for the health of your engine) and code
without a tune. $150 for a flash Tune, which would be just fine for
headers or about $350-$500 for a Dyno/Street Tune.
4) Yes, you can keep your stock mufflers/NPP
5) Correct, Headers would come with High Flow Cats if you order
Headers with Cats.
6) Depends on what you mean - The "Note" or "Sound" will not
significantly change. The "depth" (much fuller) and Volume (20-30%)
will change and be louder. Headers are not all that loud with the
OEM Mufflers, especially with NPP. Many want it louder.
Hope this helps
Feel free to give me a call or post up if you have more questions

Looking to get a Full Exhaust Upgrade. I have a 05 C6 and want to buy a full LTH ,mid Pipes and Axle Back)
My question is if i Buy the LG Lontubes for a Z06 (3") and a Full 3" Corsa for a Z06 as well, will that work? i basically want a Full 3" with Corsa Axle back on my LS2 C6.
