I have a 08 z51 A6 that has recently developed a shift problem. I
n either D or S, if at highway speeds lets say 65-75 and I accelerate, it will downshift as normal, but does not always go back to 6th gear after letting back off it. It will just stay in 5th. I can however get it back to 6th by using the paddle shifters in S. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

without a trouble code lit up only a tranny shop will know

u can try to check fuid level or replace the fluid
