Default LS3 A6 w/EPS cam dyno results

Finally got to the dyno after my cam install. I don't have any before numbers but final numbers seem to be in line with what I was expecting with the cam. I figured on a 40-45 rwhp gain from the cam.

'08 LS3 A6
EPS 222/230 .597/.609 115+2 (spec'd by Pat G)
AR 1 7/8" headers w/ hi flo cats
Vararam
Tuned by me with HP Tuners

Dyno run in 4th using paddle shifter on a MUSTANG dyno.

452/415 uncorrected
445/408 corrected

Thanks. That's about where I'm thinking as well. Just have to wait until the track opens again in April to see what it will run...

Looking at my graph....anyone gave an idea what causes the dip in power between 3700-4400?

The slight dip in power above 3700 is typical of the what happens with the American Racing headers. The AR headers have high velocity merge collectors which pump up torque in the 3000-3500 rpm range (compared to other headers). The boost in torque at lower rpm is a bonus. Your graph looks great and your power is outstanding for a cam with such excellent street manners.

I thought it may be the 1 7/8 headers but wasn't entirely sure. The cam is great. Thanks again for the recommendation Pat.

Been watching your build... Love it so far as I'm thinking of building very similar.

Congrats. Pat knows his stuff.

I love my Pat G cam.

All the ones I've seen lately are EPS lobes and they all appear to be making great power.

Agreed, and the valvetrain is super quiet.

I'm curious to know if you could have one more step radical on the cam. I'd like a bit more lope at idle although keeping the stock converter is the goal. Were you at the limits with the converter?

Yes, I'm sure I could have pushed it more with the stock converter based on how easy this one is to drive. When I was researching cams for autos there were guys with 228 intake duration cams and the stock stall but that seemed to be pushing the envelope. It all depends what you define as driveability and what you want to live with. I plan on adding a blower and wanted good street manners. That was worth more to me than squeaking out every last hp in N/A form and having poor street manners. I know I left some power on the table, but when I add a blower there will be no shortage of power with this setup.

Another thumbs up from me on Pat G cams. Every one I tune ends up running great. Personally, I think my custom turbo cam is what makes my turbo 427 work as well as it does (and I'm soooooo happy to not have the big cam drivability issues anymore, but still have a mean idle!).

Great numbers!

I'm in the same boat wanting to add a blower (TVS) at a later date... Just curious as to how far you can go. Anyone know how to contact this Pat G for his recommendations?
