No word on drone on Borla's site. Stopped buying them because they droned like a ****. The 'ATAK' sounds too unrefined, so it'd be the 'S-Type'. Wonder how they compare to Borla Sport. And what's the size of the tips? No word on that either. Thx.

They claim the new systems don't drone. That being said, drone seems to be subjective, and what some consider drone, others do not. The tips are 4" according to the population.

Are they 50 state legal? If not do you offer anything other than the SLP exhausts that can still pass emissions?

Borla exhauts are '50 State Legal', and also 100% Warranty friendly (as in your dealer can't void your warranty).

For what it's worth, I have the s type 2 on my used vette that I just bought (it was already on there) and it sounds amazing. Pretty tame on highway and around town at low rpms (no drone), but when you gas it, it is awesome.

Not certain... there is an H pipe instead of an x pipe under the car if that helps.

EDIT: I believe this means that it is the axle back...

Does this include the Atak in the "no drone" category? Love this sound but, the wife doesn't want "loud" pipes. The bondourant video makes it seem like there's no drone and little volume difference from stock up to 2500-3000 r's and then it wakes up at 3k rpm's. wifey doesn't drive aggressive so anything above 3k rpm's isn't noticeable to her.

According to Borla, none of the systems drone. That said, drone is a subject thing. I have had people claim systems drone that I myself have owned and know for a fact do not.
