Z06 Muffler Question
Does anyone know if the OEM NPP Exhaust for the Z06 is different from 2008 to 2009? Will the 08 fit on the 09?

08 and 09 ZO6 mufflers are the same.

I'VE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE TELL ME THEY ARE DIFFERENT, SO AFTER I POSTED THIS THREAD, I LOOKED UP THE PARTS ON THE GM WEBSITE AND THE MUFFLERS HAVE DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS - (06-08) AND (09-10) -

RL, people are just having fun here and providing correct info at the same time
used z06 muffs sell for 450 on the high end, the swap takes about an hour at most
I've done quite a few here in CT
A lot of members will cut open the Z06 cans to 'wrap' the perforated pipe, this turns the cans into the 2011Z style or ZR1 style can
part numbers can change from a different supplier, etc

I believe the 2009 and up over-the-axle piping changed. You might be able to have a muffler shop modify your 2008 Z06 exhaust, but you might be better off selling it and buying a 2009 Z06 exhaust.

I can't see any competent shop not being able to modify the 2008 Z06 exhaust to fit.
I forgot to mention to the OP, not sure how "soft" you want the exhaust, but you might want to consider the Z06 muffler mod. I did it to mine (Z06 muffler on C6 with long-tube headers) and like it.

Your original question lacked vital information and contained conflicting nomenclature. Only now when you bi ch about the responses, do you bother to explain relevant details.
The question, "I have an '09 Z06 and need to replace the mufflers. Will the '08 Z06 mufflers be an exact replacement?", would have had a simple answer.
I certainly would have asked the question BEFORE I bought, rather than as an afterthought.

And again I obviously left out something - I'm LOOKING at a 2008 Z06 cat back muffler system to buy to put on my 2009!!!! So, does it fit - I'm still getting answers saying YES and NO!!!! Dang!
